We stay true to her spirit by utilizing simple, high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques,
crafting each bar with care and passion.

Our Chocolate Maker
Laura grew up in the mountains of Colombia, where chocolate was a daily part of her life. Her rural upbringing meant more often making many foods from scratch instead of buying prepared products – this included chocolate. Some of her fondest memories are of her Grandmother Dionisia roasting, grinding and forming chocolate for the family.
When Laura moved to Canada in 2019, she quickly began to miss the quality of the chocolate she had available in her native Colombia. This started her down the path of making chocolate for herself and family here in Canada.
In 2021 the idea for Dionisia Chocolate was born, and Laura and her husband began working together to perfect the art of the chocolate bar and source high quality ingredients from Colombia and beyond.
